Where Oh where have I been?

Anyone who knows me knows I live an active, usually crazy, busy life. I have longed for the days when life would slow down and I would be able to focus on some very important things in my life. I often said, "If I didn’t have to work I would do this and that and then I would go her and there…." So, after careful consideration and intraspection, I resigned from my job so I could focus all os my attentions to my studies. It will be perfect. I will get up in the morning, make coffe and DIVE into my work. Nothing can stop me, God has provided the opportunity for me and I plan to use it! Step aside world! I plan to super organize my life, do nothing but schoolwork ALL DAY and use the evenings to list items on eBay, clean my home, cook, sew, stamp & scrapbook. I plan to impress.

Sadly,apparently I NEED stress. Without craziness, I sometimes don’t even get dressed.

it’s 8pm, the only reason I am considering changing my clothes & bathing is to put on new, clean jammies.

So, I need a new plan. No facebook. No TV or phone. Leave the house and go without my cellphone (I am not even sure that one is possible. What does one do in an emergency without a cell phone?? Do I even remember my life prior to owning one? NO, and I don’t want to. Apparently, I need another modification). Correction: Leave house, put phone on vibrate…(it’ll will so work!) I decided every morning I am going to ask my husband to drop me off at the Uof D library at 8:30am, this way I can’t be distracted by all the things at home. This morning my dedicated husband woke up and said "Wake up honey and I’ll take you to the librbary". I thought, "My God what time is it, 3:00am? I’m sick, possible paralyzed. I can’t move my body!! I’m still dreaming, PLEASE, please, leave me alone. By the way, WHY would I want to go to the librbay anyway?"

Do you see the problem here? Needless to say, I didn’t go today. BUT I did do homework all afternoon. Even completed 2 assignments. So, I’ll go to the library tomorrow. Well maybe I’ll go on Wednesday, I have an appoinment tomorrow (for real).

Did I mention, I want to make nearly half of all the Christmas gifts I plan to give. (stop laughing-I am out of work you know!)

Half way ’round the world!

As many of you know, we are a "homestay" family to students from all over the world who come to the ELI at the U of D to study English. Last summer, we had 3 wonderful girls spend time in our home from Kobe Shoin University in Japan. OUr time is usually very intense and filled with fun and lots of learning about each others cultures and languages. Although we love having them with us, the good-byes are often difficult and filled with long farwells, tears and hopes to see each other again. Much to our pleasure and immense surprise 2 of "our girls" came "home". Welcome home Manami & Aoi, we love you!!

Is this me or WHAT!? Can you not picture this on my wall! Does anyone have one of these doors they don’t need??

This is a recycled glass cabinet door, turned on its side and decorated with one of the words and several small flowers from the Décor Elements. The wall hs behund it has been decorated with some of the elemental ones as well.

Well Stampin’ Up! really out did themselves with this years convention. Ronald McDonald came to recieve a HUGE check all of YOU made possible, over $125,00 fro the Ronald McDonald House Charities. Thanks so much!! UPS purchased over 6,000 of these sets to support this Charity and then showed up in uniform, in a UPS truck and delivered one to each of us there, it was Amazing and generous! After 7 years as a domonstrator, Stampin’ Up! continues to amaze me.

Here’s some of us sitting in main stage awaiting more exciting news! Keeping checking for daily updates!
